Co2 vs Compressed Air

"Should I use Co2 or Compressed Air?" This is a question that I get all the time. It mainly depends on how much you play and how much you are willing to spend. first of all you should know what Co2 and Compressed Air are.

Co2
Co2 is often kept in liquid form during storage and is somewhat unstable. Because of its lack of stability, when it is turned from a liquid to a gas it varies in pressure giving an inconsistant shoot. Because Co2 starts off as a liquid inside its tank a paintball gun needs an expansion chamber so that it can turn the liquid into a gas before being inserted into the gun. When firing Co2 the fps, (feet per second) varies between 10 to 15 fps which is quite substantial to a veteran paintballer. Co2 is rarelly used on high end paintball guns because the Co2 will start to freze up when it is fired at a rapid pace. And when this starts to happen the Co2 offten causes damage to the internal parts of the gun.

Compressed Air
Compressed air is a lot more stable than Co2 because it is already a gas and it is allready mesured before it is inserted into the paintball gun. Air does not freze which means that it will not cause internal damage to the gun. Compressed air, when it is filled, is warm, and yes this is normall.

Which is better for me to use?
If you are someone that owns a typicall Tippman or a low end gun you would do fine with Co2. If you have a higher end gun and if its electronic you should use compressed air because Co2 often freezes the electronics inside the gun and useally the high end guns shoot to fast for the Co2 to keep up with. I hope you have learned something usefull today. I hope you can go out and have a good time, and don't forget to support your local paintball field.

The RAM Desert Eagle Paintball Pistol functions like a real handgun. It is powered by a refillable, internal, built-in CO2 reservoir inside the handgrip which can shoot 30 rounds of .43 caliber paintballs per fill. A Desert Eagle Paintball Pistol EX version that uses a 12g disposable CO2 cylinder inside the handgrip is also available, capable of shooting 40 shots per cylinder.

The RAM Desert Eagle Paintball Pistol holds 8 paintballs in a magazine, and the magazine is inserted into the handgrip. It does not eject shell casings, obviously, just paint and air. The velocity is adjustable, at 250fps to 300fps. The effective range of the RAM Desert Eagle Paintball Pistol is 65ft, and the maximum range is 160ft.

The RAM Desert Eagle Paintball pistol alows electronic sights, lasers, flashlights, and all the cool tactical gear that interfaces with Weaver mounts? The Desert Eagle Paintball Pistol features twin Weaver-style rails, one on top and one under the barrel, to interface with cool accessories. With this sweet gun and its different callibure paint balls it will revolutionize the game of paintball.

Apex barrel system

The Apex barrel system is the spyder version of the flat line barrel, excepet better. The Apex barrel has the ability to curve a paintball up, down, left, or right. The end of the barrel is what gives the ball its spin. All you have to do is dial in how much spin you want and where you want it. I think that this gives anyone who has this barrel a huge advantage. I also think that it should be outlawed at every paintball course, except in Mexico. If you can get a hand on an Apex barrel system for cheap, do it.

Paintball saftey

To you new paintballers saftey should be a number one concern. Paintball is a fun sport but it can all be ruined if some one gets hurt. Paintball has been one of the bigest reasons why young people are going blind. Actually the reason why young people are going blind is because they are idiots when it comes to comen sense in saftey.
If you want to keep your vision their are several things you should do. First you sould always keep a barrel plug in your gun when ever you are not playing.
Second you sould never take you mask off during a game. This is a big no no. Even if you can't see whats going on you should keep the mask on and walk back to the starting point.
Finally never point your gun at people when you are not playing. Even if you think the gun is off or that their isn't a paintball in the gun you should never point a gun at people your not playing.
If you do all these things you should be able to enjoy paintball and stay safe.

Paintballs Futrure

Paintball has come a long ways since it started in the dark ages. Paintball is the fastest growing exteam sport in the US and is the fastest growing sport in the world.
The furture of paintball is looking promising. ESPN has been one of the first major companies to try to sell paintball as entertainment. And if ESPN can get people addicted to golf and bowling it should be easy to get people to watch paintball.
Paintball will not only be on ESPN but in a few years paintball will probably get into the XGames. Since it is the thierd most popular extream sport and is also the fastest growing extream sport in the US I'm sure that we will start seing a lot more paintball on TV.
